@Professor_Stevens humans create Gods, but that means that Gods exist. Humans serve Gods and worship them, and so they must exist. There is a distinction between facts and truth.

@Professor_Stevens For quite a while now, I have really angry with God for his/her/their failure to exist. But-- there is a difference between a dormant seed and a sprouted seed, or between an unfertilized and a fertilized egg; and I don't know what that is. What happens when an inert thing like a seed becomes a living thing like a sprout? That mystifies me; and it also mystifies the scientific world. There are myriads of questions that are unanswered, but vastly fewer that are truly unanswerable. And I gotta have respect for that. I don't believe in God, but something makes the seeds sprout.

@Professor_Stevens i believe in the Christian God and my socialist beliefs stem from that. I think Liberation Theology gets pretty close to where i'm at. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberation_theology

@Professor_Stevens i was one of the few who chose 'a higher power of some kind' - inferring that power being the unmanifest essence of mind and awareness. This primordial ground does not arise from nature but rather it is the life force of nature which arises from this unmanifest essence.
