Since there is no duality of meditation and something to meditate on in the state of enlightenment - the true nature of phenomena that cannot be cultivated in meditation - there is meditation if one rests naturally without deliberately meditating. ~ Kunjed Gyalpo

Nonconceptual compassion results from the understanding, at the very moment one is meditating in this way, that the nature of everything, oneself and others, is space-like emptiness. It is the complete freedom from the concepts of the three spheres, the essential nature without thoughts or concepts, where continuous compassion radiates unobstructedly with the vivid realization of emptiness, the lack of innate existence. ~ Padmasambhava

Meditation on impermanence is threefold. From the moment one is born, one is certain to die: That is the nature of impermanence, Like someone struck by a weapon in the heart. The time of death is uncertain That is the characteristic of impermanence, Like dewdrops on the tips of grass. At death, whatever one does, nothing will help: That is the particular quality of impermanence, Like the lengthening shadows from the setting sun. ~ Padmasambhava

The assumed (so-called) present is our point of contact with bodhi-mind. It is the invisible portal through which intuition reaches us from the interior of ourselves from that universal and limitless interior (spatially thought-of) which is all we ever were or ever will be , and which is out of time. ~ wei wu wei

Whatever one is focused on is poison for the view. Whatever is embraced by effort is a fault of meditation. Whatever is adopted or abandoned is a defect of action. May we perceive the nature free from all shortcomings. ~ Mipham

The place of the heart is not a god. It is the embodiment of the Dharma. It is nothing at all. It is difficult to describe its flavor. Topics such as this one Go beyond speaking, contemplation, and conversation. ~ Vajrasattva's Magnificent Sky

Our nature, which is unfabricated naturalness, is like the sun shining. In ordinary beings, its expression—the rays of the sun—turns into conceptual thinking, which obscures the sun. If we just let it be as it naturally is, without trying to modify or fabricate, there is no way to err or stray from the view. It becomes unnatural and fabricated when we try to manufacture something or modify or try to do something. ~ Tulku Urgyen
