@badneighbor Our local government etc. also posts mostly on Facebook. Same thing: we find out after the events.
We do have a local paper...who reports (on their website and Facebook) on current happenings about an hour before they happen.
And those show in your Facebook feed a few days later.
I miss actual newspapers

@lks I grit my teeth whenever I see a business link to facebook on google maps. I wish more businesses put in the ounce of effort it takes to make a website. It can't be more expensive than wasting money on paid advertising only for facebook to dump AI slop onto the feed instead. Worse, businesses will go to the effort to make a website only for their events page to be an embed of their facebook feed. Sure enough that feed to their own page doesn't even show the content unmolested.
