I never played #zelda in my life and I just finished setting up my new #misterfpga. Should I start with the NES version or the SNES one?

  • @botolo86 NES one is open world and SNES more linear with more clues about what to do next. Both are great. Suppose it which one appeals.

@botolo86 the original is great but there's no clues about where to go in the way of old Nintendo. You may find it frustrating in that regard. I'd suggest A Link to the Past instead. It has a story to it and NPCs to meet and explore. It's extremely long with tons of unique settings and monsters to deal with. Don't feel bad if you want to consult a walkthrough to help guide you.

@botolo86 start with NES but use a guide, don't just blunder around. That's the approach I took to playing Simon's Quest for the first time recently. The SNES game should be more obvious what to do.
