I lost a small sliver of tooth about 2 weeks before I was due for my regular checkup. It wasn't bothering me other than a roughness on my tongue when I touched it. So today was the big day. Turns out it was small piece of filling that I lost and I had forgotten was a filled tooth. It was fixed in 5 mins, no numbing needed. In a way I am glad it was an old filling rather than a bit of actual tooth that had gone bad. The rest of my mouth was fine.
