@paul@status.kinlan.me FWIW, Domenic filed and issue (https://issues.chromium.org/issues/537594590) which I quickly +1'd, and a friend on Twitter asked an LLM agent about this and it uncovered some really ancient commits (https://x.com/tomaskafka/status/2079576144035062102).
