The current consultation to update RIDDOR doesn’t appear to mention COVID‑19, airborne transmission, or Long COVID at all — even though these remain major occupational hazards for healthcare workers, carers, teachers, and anyone in public‑facing roles...?

Airborne diseases don’t disappear just because reporting frameworks ignore them. COVID‑19 continues to circulate, and Long COVID continues to affect the NHS, businesses, and communities. If RIDDOR is being modernised, it must reflect the reality of airborne infection risks.
