Airborne diseases don’t disappear just because reporting frameworks ignore them. COVID‑19 continues to circulate, and Long COVID continues to affect the NHS, businesses, and communities. If RIDDOR is being modernised, it must reflect the reality of airborne infection risks. Without this, we lose vital data, weaken protections, and fail the workers most exposed.
