Family is always a complicated subject in #StarTrek. But sometimes people don’t even know about a characters relatives; as is probably the case with the subject of today’s #TrekTriviaTuesday question. As always no googling and no spoiling the answer for others. Please boost after voting! :BoostOK: Vote will run for 24h, then I will reply with the correct answer. What was the name of Leonard McCoy’s daughter?

Leonard McCoy's daughter was named Joanna. While the idea of him having a daughter came up between seasons 1 and 2 of The Original Series, the plan of having her appear on screen never came to pass, so we never got to see her.

@matzekult@chaos.social I think it's safe to mention, since it wasn't offered as an option, that in the Goldkey comics, her name was Barbara.

@matzekult@chaos.social "The Way to Eden" originated as a DC Fontana script called, "Joanna," in which the titular character had a romance with Kirk (which later became the Chekov/Galiulin thing). Fontana disliked the changes made by Roddenberry et al enough to change her credit to "Michael Richards." The script used to be on http://chakoteya.net, but I can't find it. Maybe it had to be taken down.
