@VeroniqueB99 His reasoning is sound. Bottom line: wrong venue for a NATO operation. It'd be best to keep it a US/Israeli thing, assisted by whatever gulf countries wish to throw their hats into the ring. The bit about failure is forward looking, & speculative. Something the Israelis understand & the Euros, not so much, is that to the victors go the spoils... Gulf countries know this too, but don't really care because they all got enough oil already. What they want are the Shia to be gone

@VeroniqueB99 An operation with a NATO mandate would require this procedure, but Trump is ignoring international law. He is doing his own thing. What others do is their own thing here.
