Wow, what a difference. After more than a year since I installed friendica, I added memcached. It went from unusably slow to just completely normal and usable! Why didn't I do this right away? Probably because it's poorly documented that this is even possible. Anyway, I'm pretty happy I finally fixed the performance issue on my server. Yay! #friendica #SelfHosting #memcached
