Two seamstresses are having a chat about their work. Says one, “Lately needlework is sew sew.” To which the other one replies, “You reap what you sew.” Both were laughing so hard, they were in stitches.

@Roofhare@mastodon.social @dgar@aus.social I did a walking tour of Seattle and the guide pointed out that seamstresses were so important to the local history that they have their job name emblazoned in large bronze commemorative tokens embedded into almost every street: "sewer"
