I&#39;m doing some research to try to understand what is going on with the UK but what I mostly want to know is what other people think about Jeremy Corbyn. Please if you have any thoughts or opinions on Corbyn, especially regarding particular things he did or did not do, please tell me. Pm if you don&#39;t want to reply publicly #askFedi #UK #politics

@resl "I'm doing some research to try to understand what is going on with the UK..." If you find out, please let us know! I'm afraid #Corbyn for all his good points has had his day. He carries too much baggage and is still regarded here as a "communist" left-winger, carrying the taint of #Russia. Because of infighting, #YourParty hasn't got off the ground. Events have now overtaken him and he is now being superceded by #ZackPolanski and the #GreenParty who look to have captured the left ground

@resl My take: Corbyn's own internal contradictions (anti-Europe/EEU but pro-International Revolution) has led to ineffectiveness.

@resl my impression is that he was and is a good old socialist. I knew some people in momentum, the movement to try and get him to lead the party to victory - apparently he & team were really not up to date with tech stuff. I believe he did not take a clear stand on Brexit, which I think was a mistake.
