Once in a while, I look at #mesh #networks, with the objective to discover and play with #radio / #lora tech, wanting to learn about independent and resilient networking.
And each time, I found some essential choice to do which makes me postpone the hardware acquisition.
This time is about the network: #meshtastic #meshcore and #reticulum are the ones and I really feel the latter is the more interesting (I know they can't be directly compared)

but while meshtastic and meshcore are somewhat plug and play and I can find users nearby, reticulum is not: you need more than a lora board: a computer to run rnode, and also no users at 100s of kms around. Maybe I just need to buy some stuff and start experimenting, instead of waiting for the perfect solution to be available, maybe. This is clearly not my usual way of thinking: I don't like disposable stuff. And it would help me find like-minded people and think about it all together. 2/

@daks There is a learning curve with Reticulum but it is definitely worth it.
