I guess it is not really worth favoriting toots while there is no notification going to the author. Perhaps I should just start responding "This is my favorite toot" instead

@eruonna I'm secretly vain enough to go back to my posts, count the favorites, and make note of who favorited them. It's almost as good of a dopamine hit as a notification.

@eruonna On the other paw, you could have exploded people's phones by fav'ing a lot of their toots and having all the events sync at once when your instance federated again 😛
