Imagine being a Black American woman in a grocery store, someone asking where you are from, “oh, are you one of our new nurses,” “yes,” and having people around you clap. I am so happy for that woman, and another who mentioned she was happy to be able to walk down a street holding hands with her woman partner (she was from Texas), but just feel obliged to mention this, also in BC.
