@halla getting the ux right for a mobile painting app is a monumental challenge, progress looks great so far!

@halla excited nevertheless! 10yo would absolutely LOVE to use it. For now we're stuck with the proprietary samsung SNotes app on her (second hand) samsung note phone (one with a pencil). She draws a lot and wants to use krita outside of our heavy vintage toshiba tablet laptop. Who should I follow to know more about this and test it when it's ready to test? We could provide useful feedback.

@halla pretty excited about it! While I run the current android version on my tablet, and it is often my primary tool of art, it would be neat to have a less busy interface that is easy to navigate without a keyboard (my tablet sadly does not allow the pop-up menu to work with the stylus button)

@halla I would love Krita on iOS, I used custom firmware on my old Surface Book so I could use the pen functions on Debian.

@halla I have unfortunately become too excited.

@halla Heh, I actually know a few "phone artists" who will appreciate this bit of news!

@halla I really hope something can be done with the prototype because Krita doesn't feel good to use even on a tablet :(

@halla you got me excited despite your caveat! 😁

@halla This is what all krita users need (read: me). The current tablet and mobile app is just ordinary krita without thoughts on the mobile UX which just makes the tablet experience terrible.

@halla One of the interesting features of Krita is how customizable the UI is on desktop (E.g. you can have different workflows for animation and painting). I guess this would be much more limited on mobile devices?
