I really can&#39;t state how much my experience of the internet is informed by living under an adblocker instead of seeing the ads all the time. I really do recommend it.

@Talen_Lee@kind.social I wholeheartedly agree. Adblockers are a genuine necessity for web browsing, have been for many years.

@Talen_Lee@kind.social It's honestly heartening how much extensive adblocking can like... erode your desensitization to ads. I'm always upset by how many TV commercials i easily remember from childhood, but i literally cannot remember any commercial I've seen in the last 15-20 years and that makes me happy.

@Talen_Lee@kind.social The web reached a tipping point where all the sites that depend on ads are blocking me back for not watching them. And then we're both free. It's the best mutual breakup ever.

@Talen_Lee@kind.social For technical reasons, I had to go to a site in a different browser the other day where I don't have ad blocking and the difference was horrific.
