The hens love being around you when you're digging up the ground in a veg patch, as they can grab all the big fat juicy worms that are unearthed, which gives them a good diet that helps them produce eggs with deep yellow yolks. Just collected today's eggs: 5 brown, 4 white and one blue.

@GuyBirkin blue? interesting. my folks have kept chickens for years but i don't think they've ever had any types that produce blue eggs.
