@eric "However, Alt—otherwise known the Windows key—opens the Start Menu." This isn't accurate. Alt and Windows are separate keys, and the latter is what opens the start menu.

I sorta kinda hate those things, when they take actions (just navigation is fine I guess). We have a cat and a kid and I’m just generally clumsy (#a11ty shoutout for clumsy people) and I have hundreds of tabs open and macOS keyboard focus is weird 😅 (clicking on a window can leave the keyboard focus on the old window!) and I probably don’t love a website enough to learn the shortcuts sorry! So yeah ‘e’ might mean I want you to end the world but it was more likely just the cat or something Possibly this is just JIRA ptsd talking
