I sorta kinda hate those things, when they take actions (just navigation is fine I guess).
We have a cat
and a kid
and I’m just generally clumsy (#a11ty shoutout for clumsy people)
and I have hundreds of tabs open
and macOS keyboard focus is weird 😅 (clicking on a window can leave the keyboard focus on the old window!)
and I probably don’t love a website enough to learn the shortcuts sorry!
So yeah ‘e’ might mean I want you to end the world but it was more likely just the cat or something
Possibly this is just JIRA ptsd talking

I do use them sometimes in gmail so I am trying to think why I don’t perceive them as hostile over there. One nice thing they do is that their “delete” is actually a chord on most keyboards (because it’s #) therefore it’s an extra difficulty barrier and can’t be done by accident. On the flip side the barrier is … a barrier
