@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz Things make of silicone are basically made of sand. Glass is also made of sand. Don't get me started on computer chips.

@VickForcella@mastodon.derg.nz well, silicon is not silicone, although, silicones are sometimes made of silicon so technically? although I suspect this is TPU which is Polyutherane, a plastic made of crude oil and other additives
