@evi@meow.social yea I also got them in my livingroom, theyre not too bad but I always find it funny how flimsy the joints are, it just hopes things stay aligned, no groningen earthquakes or accidental pushes xD but honestly I'm not loading them up too heavily, mostly just helps to store stuff vertically instead of everything on the floor, I think the load of the top planks is like <10kg each

@nspace@infosec.exchange it's extra anti-aerodynamic so that you take it slow on vacations :dragon_uwu: I wanted one with a lock and this seemed to be the most solid option haha

@2something@transfem.social I find it hope inspiring that people are finally questioning what 'good graphics' are, it's just funny that it took a two letter acronym to cause people to start using their brain :P

I still can't even that my now nearly 80 year old mom has been on Fedora on a thinkpad e520 (2011) for a decade and it all just works. I checked her laptop just now and it's fully up to date on fedora 43, so she's done like 20 version upgrades autonomously too. The battery has degraded a little but the whole thing still works fine and she's very happy with it. This is how things should be, this is peak computing tbh. #Fedora #Linux

maybe it's stupid but it actually feels so amazing that people are actually interacting with my silly story thing, you have no idea how much it means, i constantly want to apologize for even boosting it to my main account 😭 thank you everyone for enduring my weird writings, I don't think I've ever shown much story stuff before this except to some friends, because I've felt too weird about it, and this interactive story feels like the most accessible and closest thing to that I&...

apparently the rubber/tpu case for my old sony xperia z1 compact (I think?) completely went moldy somehow? I saw it when I was going through some old stuff, removed it right away, though it kinda leaves the half-broken phone exposed (the back cracked when it was still in use) so PSA I guess for old stuff collectors: TPU cases can degrade and become a biohazard/chemical hazard for your other devices.

this song is such a relaxing friday evening vibe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLkkYAPrsgE it reminds a bit of the calm menu tracks of hotline miami, and the background 'dragon OS' video/theme is a fun twist

@falken@qoto.org I mean don't get me wrong but, source on what? it's hard to find an article on the lack of investigation or opposition to it, there's plenty on the general disdain of law enforcement to E2EE though, but it seems they usually call out things like matrix and what not, rather than Signal- I again, could be wrong or just paranoid though, it's more of a gut feeling; see also the rest of the thread with other people

tempted to upgrade my leaf to 60kwh+ so I can actually go places with it problem is most places seem to make it really expensive, like 10k+ would be well over twice what I paid for the car, and the current battery isn't in bad shape, just smol, and enough for 95% of what I do, even if barely sometimes
