This is the way. After we remodeled our kitchen, all the new appliances had wifi options.
salesman said "You can control the temperature settings of your fridge/preheat your oven when you're on your way home. It's so convenient"
Super convenient for the jackass black hat who decides to defrost every BRANDNAME fridge in North America for the lolz.
Or worse, turns on every oven.

That would be a sight to see... All I'm worried about is the jackass that sells me a fridge and an oven, so they can tell the police when I'm cooking dinner, or getting a midnight snack, so they know when to break my door in and black bag me. While also telling my electric company how much I'll put up with them jacking up my bill. CC: @thegibson@masto.hackers.town
