The number of folks I meet who "work in tech" but do not UNDERSTAND technology is approaching majority. They know corporate tech structures and a smattering of systems. Same w/designers who don't design, just decorate (looking at you liquid glass).

@ethanschoonover The word tech seems to have taken on a new meaning that has very little to do with technology, or rather is a kind of cargo cult version of it. There is one context where the short term "Tech" has been used as a placeholder for bullshit made up science for decades, namely in Scientology.
