Just got back from a visit to the free "seed bank" at our local public library. Every year, some business donates all the unsold garden vegetable seed packets from the previous growing season to the library. Despite being labeled "packed for 2025" (or even "2024"), most of the seeds are still viable and will grow for a few years after their original sell-by date. The library fills an old card catalog cabinet with the seed packets. The selection varies from year to year, but there are usually at least some of just about every common (US) garden vegetable. They're free to anyone who walks in the door. Yet another reason we support our public library. ❤️ #library #gardening #seed
