One day, when software interfaces will be AI generated and looking all the same you’ll be like “pleaeaase can we have the wonky FLOSS UIs back? made by a teenager with their photo in the credit popover??? with granite texture on random buttons’ background?? and functions used by 2 persons in the planet, creator included?

@raphael We were required to do an exercise playing with AI. I got it to write a command line tool, then told it "make me a web interface". Which it did. No styling at all, 1990s type tables etc. So I said "make it look 2020s rather than 1990s". So it did. Vast amounts of white space, needing both horizontal and vertical scrolling to see the same data which had been there at a glance in the 1980s version. My colleagues said "we prefer the 1990s version", to which my reply was "no problem, so do I, I've already reverted it".
