New term: Retrograde Nation. The US always totes being a developed nation, but it is devolving. Devolved nation already is a term meaning something else. So how about "Retrograde Nation"?
A retrograde nation refers to a sovereign state that previously achieved developed country status but has subsequently experienced significant backward movement across multiple socioeconomic dimensions.
