@Eleutheria2 you should've asked him if it would not have better to drop wartime sanctions so that the Nazis could use superior non-Jew oils instead. After all, trade is mutually beneficial, so as the Nazi system is worse the trade will go farther in the Allied economy and do more, strengthening the allies more than the Nazis. To doubt this he'd have to a. think the Jew oil is really good, actually. It's too bad we can't still oil guns out of Jews! b. think that the Nazis had the better system and would've benefited more from trade (it is at least easy to argue that there was not exactly a free economy to be found under FDR or Stalin, but the more likely take is that Germans are just way too good to not sanction in war) c. be so taken aback by you taking his Jew oil thing seriously that he becomes just as disgusted as if you'd clearly made up the story yourself, because your reaction makes it real to him
