To be filed under: Life Is Strange Someone posted about the 50th anniversary of Donald Johanson’s discovery of Lucy, and I went on an hour long excursion into the memory vault. I was a first year geology major at podunk college and my then girlfriend and soon to find out at the time, a creationist-leaning Bible thumper, was heading the group that brought lecturers and musicians, etc. to the campus. So I found myself having a pre-lecture meal with the world’s preeminent anthropologist… I can’t imagine (nor remember) anything said at the dinner…but was glad for the opportunity. Wish I could have that opportunity to do over now, actually knowing some things about the topic…though honestly, Inprobably knew as much about early hominids then as I do know. I found all this stuff tucked in my signed copy of his book this morning and I am feeling a bit of time warp on so many levels. #Anthropology #AgeOfMan #Time #AnthropoScenes #Lucy #Today
