Today we had 4 border checks (depart from Senegal, enter Gambia, cross the Gambia river on the ferry, exit Gambia and enter Senegal) and had to deal with two foreign currencys (at least one payment for the "transit visa" when entering Gambia felt a bit shady). A big "THANK YOU" to the EU as we don't have to suffer through this when travelling in Europe!

@domm sounds like you haven't entered germany (or austria from the south-east) within the last 10 years … border controls are back since 2015 in a couple of EU countries, and I hate it (and it's illegal).
