@lamb@transfem.social hey, making games is hard, when alone it is a lengthy grindstone of a process. Look at the guy that made Tunic, he took 8 years to make the game, and even years after making it, he is not recovered from the effort required.
One of my friends is a bloody genius programmer, he worked for 6 years on his project with another person, only for the project to fail not financially or technically, but socially, because they could not handle differents in communication.
When I say it is hard, I have seen it grind people I care for, friends, colleagues etc etc, to dust. Some where geniuses, some less, it does not really matter. Making video games is a consuming process. It is a terrifying endurance run.
I have ADHD, making my game takes a lot out of me. It took friends, time, loves ones, finances... And it will likely take me more than it would take for an average person to figure out. To me that is depressing. I will probably die before I am done. But I will fight, so please fight too. If you need help please ask. And also, thanks. Thanks for the work you already put into what you are making
