#inktober 4. One of my earliest memories (like, age 3 or 4, so no idea how accurate) - one of my parents’ friends held a piece of this kind of cactus out to me as a curiosity; I reached out to touch it and ended up crying. I recall my dad being mad at the friend… #lineasketch

@whattherestimefor@mastodon.social Love this one, looks dangerous just seeing it. Amazing how our memories form and stick with us. When I was about seven my parents and I were on vacation in Florida and I went wandering down the beach. Saw a pretty piece of blue glass in the sand and went to pick it up. It was a Portuguese Man O’ War. Needless to say that went badly. I remember that whole incident clear as day for all the wrong reasons. Hugs!!
