"The European Commission obviously thinks it is their place to design operating systems."
That's the impression I've had since the first round of the DMA. People whom time has proven would never have dreamed of an operating system, let alone set out to build one, act qualified and confident in laying out specific, design-related requirements for specific OSes individually.

@Starfia@mastodon.social In 00s when Microsoft was the most hated company in the world, they never even thought of imposing limits on what users could or could not run on their devices. And would often go out of its way to ensure that users could. Now supranational corpos impose arbitrary limits on what you can run on your devices, and somehow people cheer them on, and anyone who says that users must have choice is for some reason hated and called delusional.
