@blinry Is there no one at the company who could help with the last steps? So far the 3-4 companies I've used, also had people fixing files before printing and cutting. Or is that a service fee that you want to skip with that company?

@blinry @teamtype just in case it's helpful - the last time I did this the sticker company autogenerated the outline from the artwork, I did not need to specify it separately.

@blinry @teamtype I do this with wir-machen-druck and Inkscape all the time. You need to provide a path in all magenta named kiss_cut. You do this by literally painting the stroke in magenta and renaming the path.

@blinry @teamtype ja! Sowohl in Inkscape als auch in Scribus! In Scribus kannst du tatsächlich eine Linie mit 100% Magenta anlegen auf einem eigenen Layer und kannst der dann das Attribut “Spotcolor” geben. Das klingt alles vielleicht komplex, aber an sich ist das super simpel. Eventuell musst du die Druck Daten dann allerdings in PDF/X-3 exportieren was ein furchtbares format ist. Was ich zuletzt gemacht habe, ist in Inkscape einen neuen Layer anlegen, diesen Spotcolor nennen und auf diesem die 100% magenta Linie anlegen. Das dann als normale PDF exportieren, Effekte Rastern mit 600dpi. Das kann eigentlich jedes Druckhaus drucken. Das letztere erlaubt kein Druck mit farbtreue, das ist allerdings eh ein viel komplexeres rabbithole, das Arbeiten mit Farbprofile und im CMYK Farbraum. Das ist etwas was Inkscape leider auch noch gar nicht so wirklich unterstützt und was in Scribus auch eher schwer ist.. mir reicht das Arbeiten im Inkscape Farbraum eig immer aus was farbtreue angeht

@blinry @teamtype 6 years ago I designed orgmode stickers. I made them in inkscape with an outline. I ordered the stickers from wirmachendruck. They advised me how to design that outline, which in their case should be 100% magenta and gave valuable feedback.
