@Elizafox@social.treehouse.systems @daemonspudguy to be fair, i haven't seen any of these forks actually get proper support, a lot of this technology is still too big to be mantained by just a couple of nerds, linux requires the combined resources and manpower of several huge multi-billion-dollar companies. i don't see people forking freebsd or linux, other than some small scale projects. it isn't really just the fact that this tech is too hard or too simple as much as it is just too big, zed is on a similar problem right now where zedless and gram are pretty much tiny hobby projects with little to no resources, people working for free essentially.
