Skylab was the United States' first space station, launched by NASA in 1973 and occupied for 24 weeks between 1973 and 1974. It was manned by three crews and included a solar observatory and Earth observation equipment. Skylab conducted numerous experiments before disintegrating in the atmosphere in 1979, with debris landing in the Indian Ocean and Western Australia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skylab

@wonderofscience@mastodon.social Notice how faster he spins when folding arms and legs, then slows down immediately as he spreads them again? That's a cool illustration of the conservation of angular momentum, which gymnasts and skaters use. Spreading increases inertia and slows rotation, while pulling in decreases inertia and speeds up, angular momentum remains constant throughout.
