the core problem is that Ds (rightly) think that Israel's current policies are immoral and evil, that the Netanyahu govt is an enemy of Democrats (which it is), and that (as Pritzker says) AIPAC is a MAGA front. 1

it's not just policy. it's that a lot of D voters think AIPAC and Israel want to defeat Democrats and help MAGA, so taking support from AIPAC feels like a betrayal. that is devastating in a D primary.
