@TheoHR@troet.cafe excellent example. If you want to learn German, read a book that uses actual German words. Also, all these people arguing that this was "too specific" for a children's book: 1. This is how we build vocabulary AND learn about our world. All of us, but especially kids. By using specific words for specific things. Why say "wau-wau" if you want to talk about "dogs"? How to distinguish dog breeds without naming them? Or plants? or birds? Try it - how many birds can you name? 1/1

2/2 Kids LOVE to learn new words. Depending on their interestes, they start very early to name the exact car brands, and the dinosaur names or pokemon some kids can memorise (and pronounce, and accurately identify) is mind-blowing --- and nobody bats an eye when they do. So why shouldn't the words in a German kid's book be exactly as long as the German word for a thing actually is? We all grow with our challenges.
