I believe LLMs today are (mostly) laundered plagiarism and some GenAI companies are fencing reconstituted thefts. And, every day I ignore ethical problems in order to get what I want, where I believe my ends justify the means. Sometimes knowingly, sometimes not. We live in a world where we all have to balance these choices all of the time. I think it's just as absurd to say "AI is ethically sound" as "AI has no valid uses"
