What's fuelling Indonesia's fires? El Niño is making this year’s fires worse, but that’s not the whole story. Across Sumatra and Borneo, forests have been cleared and peatlands drained to make space for palm oil and pulp plantations. This has made these landscapes more vulnerable to fire. Real prevention means protecting and restoring natural ecosystems. None of our partners in Indonesia are currently affected, but we’re keeping a close eye on the situation 💚 #indonesia #wildfires
