Mark my words: what Trump has done is to ignite a civil war in Iran. And how did the LAST time the US sleep walked into a civil war -Vietnam - work out?
Either that, or he’s triggered a massive repression that will kill thousands and make the last few months in Iran look like a picnic.

@SonofaGeorge@mstdn.ca Actually, other than the one likely started in Venezuela, the last time was when the USA overthrew Hussein in Iraq, which resulted in a Shia majority in the country, the rise of al-Qaeda, the ongoing destabilization in Syria, Turkey. (It was due to oil, part of the economic war against the EU.)
