Quite the curling commotion in Draw 1 at The Brier, where a sweeper’s broom handle broke under pressure sending him to the ice and carbon fiber shrapnel everywhere. This had to be cleaned up before play could continue. Fortunately, he was ok.

@abosio I’m glad he’s ok. Should causing debris to accidentally pic your rock be a burn? I have little doubt NL will win either way. I think they’ll need to think more about how to clean the ice, though this is the first time I’ve seen it in decades of use of these handles. #curling #brier
