Anthropic: "No we won't take of the safeguards, US govt" OpenAI: "Yeah you go, man. Stick to your guns!" also OpenAI: "psst, hey warmongers, I have some corruptible morals for sale." It's no surprise this played out but I thought Grok be the one to step in. Either way when bad things happen, expect to see quick denial of accountability ("the AI did it") as they allow autonomous decision making of weapon systems, or OpenAI becomes the fall guy. Either way, the administration can do bad things and wash their hands.
