@rodolforg@mastodon.online @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu On a national level we’ve had instant payment systems way before Pix (2020), like Vipps in Norway (2015), Blik in Poland (2015) and Bizum in Spain (2016). Instant SEPA Transfers were launched in 2017, but the rollout has been slow because you have to harmonize the bank systems of 27 countries. It’s like launching Pix but for the whole Mercosul and Central America. Major achievement and not comparable to a national system.
