I've specifically experienced going abroad, being expected to do a SEPA transfer for a transaction, and rapidly learning that actually my bank doesn't have that at all and my only option was to go to a nearby ATM and pay bullshit fees.
hopefully it'll be better in 2027 when the regulation actually applies to Sweden as well. i hope i will never be forced to use an ATM again within the EU if i can just pay people directly
