The misdirection was not accidental. The people who benefit most from the myth knew exactly what it would do to your attention. They knew that white folx committed to the story of Black criminality would not be asking questions about where the money went, who signed the executive order, or whose future just got sold. Brett Favre knew it too. He took public assistance funds meant for the poorest people in Mississippi and directed them toward a building those same people would never have access to

And you were quiet then as well. This is not new. It is not this administration. It is the architecture operating at every scale, and it has always depended on you looking somewhere else. They did not fear getting caught because they understood that architecture better than you do. They knew the myth would hold. They knew the consequences would be minimal. They knew you would be looking somewhere else.
