@nasamuffin At my library system, books on a waiting list cannot be renewed. Other books can be renewed twice. So I'd read the one on the waiting list first, and use the extra time to get back to the other one.

@nasamuffin I have yet to finish a queer romance I bought in Mexico City because I picked up books from the library (some of which were also in Spanish) and I wanted to get them back in a timely manner. Due to the fact that I am slower at reading Spanish than French, and slower at French than English, I must limit myself in the number of Spanish books I consume at the same time. I cannot be Cookie Monster with books and shove them all into my face at once.

@nasamuffin My library lets me defer a hold (up to twice, I think?)... basically puts me back in the first spot in the queue.
