@howtophil@mastodon.social @netbsd@mastodon.sdf.org Makes sense. I hadn't found out about the option of a VESA framebuffer, so I can try that. Mostly curious if I can get it going how well it will perform compared to swapping the compact flash card to FreeDOS and running Doom there.

@netbsd@mastodon.sdf.org @gourd@indieverse.social Crispy or dsda doom? Does NetBSD still have a working version of SVGAlib? I seem to recall there being a doom port for SVGAlib (making xwindows not needed)
