@yukiwarashi not all progressives! but there are a lot of people who describe themselves as "progressives" who worry a lot about attracting the "white working class" and want to soft-pedal issues (like shifting money away from law enforcement) that will scare them off -- and instead focusing on economic anxiety. Just in the short term, of course 🤣 Nothing new, but I certainly saw a lot of it last summer.
